To preserve at night:
I used a headband and just simply pinappled it. Then I sleep on a satin pillowcase.
A current trend that I am loving is the floral headbands. It is such a great way to liven up your hairdo or create some flair to your style. Here are a few examples of how to wear them.
You can wear this accessory wether you have short hair or long hair, or even up in an updo!
You can get these headbands online or common stores like Forever21 and Urban Outfitters, but if you would like to make one on your own and save some money, then here is a simple DIY tutorial by Boat People Vintage
Ever wanted to try loc’s, but just not sure or afraid of the commitment? Don’t fret! You can always try temporary loc extensions on your natural hair. It serves as a great protective hairstyle, if you’re in need of a break, or just in the mood to try something new! Check out the video below for my step by step tutorial on how to achieve this look.
Make sure you deep condition your hair before starting this protective hairstyle, also lock in the moisture with a sealant. (any oil of your choice)
What you will need:
(4) Packs of Kanekolon Hair (to braid)
(3-4) Packs of Marley Braid Hair (to wrap)
and lots of patience!
How long does this hairstyle take?
Approximately 12-14 hours. I broke it up into 3 days and started out the locs into this ring-like pattern around my head and just wore it into a bun until I was done.
Sleep with a satin pillowcase
wrap locs into a ponytail or bun and wrap with a scarf
Spritz roots with water for moisture
