I finally got to do a Natural Hair Tag video in which I have been wanting to do in so long. In this tag video there are topics ranging from things like my hair journey, hair coloring, product junkie and so much more. Check out the video below 🙂
Here is my current wash and go routine for my TWA stage. One of the best things about having a TWA is how low maintenance it actually is. Also you tend to use less product. With the combo of products I used in this video, I was able to achieve defined curls and typically last with least 3 day hair.
One of the most frequently asked questions during the early stages of my hair journey was about my hair color and how did I achieve it. I can tell you one thing; it definitely was not an overnight/instant process :(. Hair color can be very damaging if not done correctly or by a professional. In this video I will show you how I gradually got the color desired and my journey with hair color from 2012- 2014.
I was utterly obsessed with this video/song when it first came out and was inspired by the Queen herself Ms. Badu to recreate this look from Janelle Monae’s video Q.U.E.E.N. In this tutorial I will show you how to create a basic cut crease eyeshadow like the one she is sporting in her video. P.S. I am wearing a wig I made myself using Mercy Extensions Mongolian Kinky hair.
Marley Twists are a great go-to summer hairstyle when in need of a break from your natural hair. Not only do I find these being one of the easiest protective hairstyles to achieve, but they also last a pretty decent amount of time (give or take about 3-4 weeks). I used Marley hair to achieve this look and total time it took to complete was about 3 hours. For the blonde hair I used #27 and for the darker hair I used #2, check out the tutorial below for a quick DIY guide.
Absolutely loving my new lip crayon from Burt’s Bee’s! If you are into natural makeup, then this little gem here is perfect for you. It has a creamy-matte finish and is made with 100 percent natural ingredients. I love the fact that it is really moisturizing and well pigmented. It’s a jumble pencil but no need to sharpen it, you can just simply twist the bottom to push up the lipstick. By the way, I am wearing the shade Carolina Coast (423). Natural makeup for the win, I’m sold!
Shea Butter — Shea Butter helps to hydrate and moisturize dry lips leaving them feeling soft and smooch-worthy smooth.
Enriched with conditioning Jojoba Oil and Kendi Oil, which are chock full of Omega 3 to hydrate and moisturize lips. And don’t forget the Shea Butter for an extra dose of moisture.
I purchased this at Bed Bath & Beyond, but you can totally find this product at any beauty or local drugstore and online.
Hey Guys! One of the ways I like accessorizing my faux locs and braids is by adding little trinkets to them. It’s such a fun and easy way to adding a little flair to your look. Check out this easy peezy tutorial I made on how to do Loc Jewelry using just wire!
